Copyright Infringements
BeresfordTel has received multiple notifications of its Internet Customers engaging in Copyright Infringements of movies, music, and television shows. BeresfordTel is notified when an Internet Account is identified as having been used to illegally copy and/or distribute copyrighted movies, music, and television shows. The notice provides BeresfordTel with the information we need in order to identify the customer. We contact the customer to inform them to take immediate action that can prevent serious legal and other consequences. The illegal downloading and distribution of copyrighted works are serious offenses that carry with them the risk of substantial monetary damages and, in some cases, criminal prosecution. Copyright infringement also violates BeresfordTel's Terms of Service and could lead to limitation or suspension of your Internet Services.
If you have installed a wireless router, we strongly encourage you to enable the security on the router, which would prevent unauthorized wireless devices from accessing your Internet Account without a password. Also, you should always be cautious of whom you give that password to, because you, as the Internet Account Holder, are the one liable for your Internet Service.
